Science graduate from Mysore University. He is one of the senior members of Karnataka Legislative Assembly and represents Mangalore assembly constituency from Bharathiya Janatha Party since 1994 consecutively. Has served in various prestigious posts such as (1) the Senate Member of Mangalore University (2) The Chairman of Subordinate Legislative Committee (3) Member of Rules Committee, Public Accounts Committee and Committee on Public Undertakings. As a delegate from Govt of Karnataka, he has visited many Asian, European and American countries, and has rich experience in public service and a remarkable vision in the field of development of infrastructure and tourism projects. As Chairman, he is instrumental in involving KSIIDC as an important nodal agency to implement some of the tourism & infrastructure projects under taken by Govt of Karnataka on PPP basis.

Post Graduate in English Literature from Punjab University, Chandigarh and Masters in Development Management from Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines. Joined Indian Administrative Service [IAS] in 1986. Since then, held positions as Deputy Secretary, Agriculture; Housing & Urban Development; Women & Child Development. Worked as Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayath, Belgaum & Mandya, and as Deputy Commissioner, Hassan District. Worked as Director, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India and subsequently as Project Director, Sarva Sikshana Abhiyan, Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission and Secretary to Govt, Primary & Secondary Education.

An engineering graduate from REC, Surathkal and (NIIT – K) with post graduate diploma in Business administration. Joined KSIIDC in 1978 after a brief stint in industry (manufacturing sector). Since then held various positions in KSIIDC.

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore and Post Graduate in Information Science from the Indian Statistical Institute Bangalore. Worked with ERDA, Mumbai, (1 Year),Tata Energy Research Institute (5 Years) before joining KSIIDC during June 1984. Since then held various positions in KSIIDC.
